Press Release

Leading MR platform players partner in first-of-its-kind supply API integration

2015/07/27

Tokyo, Japan – July 27, 2015 – In one of the largest integration deals in MR supply, GMO Internet Group company and Asia’s premier research panel platform GMO Research has partnered with global panel marketplace platform provider Cint. The agreement connects GMO Research’s Asia Cloud Panel platform with Cint’s global exchange – OpinionHUB – adding more than 3 million GMO Research respondents to the existing 15 million active panellists in the exchange. The result means MR players can now access significantly extended reach of high quality, deeply profiled panelists across Asia via an automated process via Cint’s DIY Access/Access Pro user-interfaces or fully automated APIs.

The deal also includes the first agreement as part of the launch of Cint’s ‘Private Pricing’ solution, which allows buyers and sellers to negotiate rate cards and commercial arrangements directly whilst leveraging Cint’s platform and technology to handle the sourcing and delivery of sample in a fully automated way. GMO Research struck the Private Pricing arrangement directly with SurveyMonkey, the world’s leading online survey platform. SurveyMonkey will extend its strategic partnership with Cint and source all GMO Research supply via the Cint OpinionHUB platform alongside its existing supply chain management process in the same system.

A number of successful projects have already been completed in the GMO Research Cloud panel assets by customers of Cint around the world, including the first ‘Private Pricing’ project, with the result that a west-coast US buyer collected 200 completed interviews with 7% incidence rate from Japanese consumers gathered within 12 hours with less than 5 minutes of manual work, just 1 email, and all data readable in SurveyMonkey’s insight tool immediately

GMO Research is one of the largest multi panel operating platforms in Asia, with panels in 13 countries. Nicholas Antram at GMO Research commented: “We share equal excitement about the integration as it brings two of the leading platforms in the industry together. Cint has a well established and respected reputation globally, especially in Europe and North America where we are very enthusiastic to open up supply for the growing demand in Asian samples. We welcome the integration as it will help GMO Research’s Asia inventory grow and mature.”

Richard Thornton at Cint said: “This integration is one of the largest done in MR on the supply side, with two major leading players integrating and opening up their respective technology and platforms. This partnership also signifies a shared vision and philosophy around supply chain efficiency in data collection for MR and insights.

“We believe this integration illustrates the current trend of platforms and technologies coming together to create value for customers, spelling great news for the industry and easier access to a broader pool of engaged respondents for research. We are delighted GMO Research chose Cint as its first major integration partner and welcome the addition of their quality Asian panel assets which perfectly complement the worldwide reach of OpinionHUB,” he added.
