GMO Research has partnered with PlaytestCloud GmbH, a remote playtesting and games user research platform
GMO Research, a prominent online research solution platform (led by CEO Shinichi Hosokawa), announces a reseller agreement with PlaytestCloud GmbH, (also known as "PTC") a provider of a remote playtesting and games user research platform (based in Berlin, Germany, and led by Co-Founders and Managing Directors Christian Ress and Marvin Killing). This partnership offers online user testing services for mobile games on GMO Research's ASIA Cloud Panel1.
This new partnership enables convenient online mobile game user testing for members of the ASIA Cloud Panel, one of Asia's largest panel networks2. The ASIA Cloud Panel, provided by GMO Research, facilitates internet research targeting over 55 million3 consumers across 16 countries and regions in Asia. Through this collaboration, GMO Research aims to expedite the advancement of its online DIY testing service for mobile games in the Asian market.
Background to the start of the alliance
The global market for mobile app games has experienced significant recent growth. In 2022, the market reached a staggering value of US$184.4 billion (approximately 25 trillion yen). The Asia-Pacific region contributes greatly to this market, accounting for 48% of its total size4. This region coincides with the countries and regions covered by the ASIA Cloud Panel, a service provided by GMO Research.
GMO Research has been offering game-focused research services since 2020, and the demand for mobile games in these services has been rising steadily. To effectively cater to the needs of our clients, we have made the strategic decision to collaborate with PTC.
Advantages of the alliance
Through this partnership, members of the ASIA Cloud Panel will have the opportunity to test any and all mobile games through PTC. Unlike conventional app testing that often requires on-site support, this collaboration enables online user testing of mobile games. This eliminates the need for customers to be physically present during the research process, making it more convenient and cost-effective. Participants can easily take part in mobile game user testing at their preferred time and location, offering flexibility and convenience. This partnership enhances the accessibility and efficiency of the testing process.
